PE and Sports Funding Grant (Primary) 2023-2024
This year we expect to receive £17,640, which we continued to invest in updating the PE Curriculum and sports equipment in school. We have experienced sports coaches to ensure the quality of PE taught within our school continues to develop.
The school has invested into staff training during the previous academic year, and this year we will continue to train our teachers and TAs to further enhance the PE offer.
Teaching & Learning
All pupils will engage with PE lessons at Camberwell Park, the PE curriculum has been written in such a way that all learners to be able to access it. Content is delivered in small incremental chunks, specifically pitched at an appropriate level for the age and ability of our pupils. Pupils are able to revisit concepts and ideas at the start of each lesson to ensure they understand the content they are being taught.
Pupils are taught specific vocabulary and the teaching team ensure this supports the pupils understanding with additional visuals to scafold understanding.
Assessment
In PE assessment evidence is collected to show pupil's progress over time. This style of assessment also allows pupils to master tricky concepts in a manageable way.
